Bilingual credentialed K-12 teacher
I teach K-12 students in Orange County to master decoding and comprehension of literature, grammar, and vocabulary in English and Spanish, mathematics, science, history, elementary Latin, art and theater.

About Me
I provide Orange County students access to quality literature, best-practice teaching methods and assessments, with a love of learning to strengthen student engagement and skills.
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Social Behavior at UC Irvine, including a one-year Education Abroad Program at Universidad Complutense in Madrid, España, during which I tutored Spanish-speaking students in English. After graduating, I provided therapy to K-12 children as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant for three years while earning a Bilingual Teaching Credential (BCLAD) at Concordia University. I then spent twenty-two years teaching fourth grade in both self-contained and departmentalized classrooms, and including small-group instruction for students in the GATE Program, ESL program, and IEP support in public and private school. During that time, I served as a member of the Curriculum Adoption Team, WASC Visiting Committee, and a five-year Coordinator and one of the Coaches for the middle school's State Champion Academic Decathlon program. Once Covid mandates prevented in-person teaching, I transitioned to a charter school, and for more than four years, have taught small groups and individual K-12 students in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Spanish and Elementary Latin.
